Favourite Media

Below are  some of my must see lists for movies, and television go watch these.....seriously.

The Dark Knight

The lastest installment in Batman was released last year and with its dark tinge on the classic series gave me literal goosebumps. The acting and general feel of the movie came together to create an everlasting masterpiece.

Dazed And Confused

Great high school movie with an amazing cast. the journey through the young years....or what you can remember anyways. Brings me back

The Big Lebowski

The Dude......enough said.

Quentin Tarantino

Like Thompson above Tarantino is one of my favourite directors and I I love all his movies including Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Reservoir Dogs, Inglorious Basterds and the list goes on and on.

Films by Darren Aronofsky

Pi

A crazy movie about a brilliant mathematician trying to figure out patterns within the stock market his obsession finds him something else a big market firm and a Jewish sect come down on him hard to figure out their own patterns.

Requiem For A Dream

A scary look into drug abuse and the scary underbelly that can surface, a intense eye opening film that in my opinion is a large deterrant

"Viddy Well Brother, Viddy Well" Stanley Kubrik does brilliant movies and his adaptation of Anthony Burgess's novel A Clockwork Orange is no exception. It does the book great justice but of course does not take anything away. Like most book adaptation the book should be read first with difficult translation of made up slang called Nadstat, a very different ending from the movie and some different dialogue make watching the movie after the book that much better.

T.P.B

an amazing mockumentary show that deals with the little troubles in a Nova Scotian trailer park. The characters you can easily identify with and cheer for.

Weeds

A show that deals. Literally, a mother finding money for her family after her husband dies unexpectedly is forced to deal marijuana to look after her family. With her dealing comes even more problems than previous.

 Hunter S. Thompson

I included Fear And Loathing above because it is one of thompsons most well known work. I love Hunter's writing style and have been reading and watching his work for years.

The Professional: Leon

an amazing movie about a pro assassin that takes in a orphaned girl and teaches her the tools of the trade as well as learning some life lessons.

Kevin Smith

again a director of hilarious films. the clerks series in general is enough to make you love Smith's films. Go back and watch Mall Rats, Zack and Miri and Dogma. Do it and youll be laughing and quoting for ever after.

Breaking Bad

If you only had a short time to live, how far would you go to help your family? This show is phenomenal hands down after only seeing Bryan Cranston in Malcolm In The Middle (Malcom's Dad) I was a little skeptical at first but he is a very versatile actor and it shows in his complete opposite role in Breaking Bad. A chemistry teacher diagnosed with terminal lung cancer is forced to use his skills to cook meth in an attempt to save his family from financial troubles when he is gone. Intense is all I can say edge of your seat, Watch the first episode and you will know what i'm talking about.
